How It Started
"The evil hand is upon the. The girls are victims of witchcraft!"
-Dr. William Griggs
It all started with some girls. One day, they started going into fits of rage and making strange animal noises. As rumors spread about their behavior, neighbors began to have similar attacks. Meanwhile, doctors were called to determine what ailed them; Dr. William Griggs declared the fits were caused by the Devil's Magic.
Reverend Parris ordered the girls to name who was bewitching them. They accused Tituba, Sarah Good, and Sarah Osborne. The suspects were arrested on February 29, 1692; thus began the horrifying series of trials and punishments.
